Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Malaysia

Welcome to Malaysia! Upon arrival at the airport in Kuala Lumpur, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur

Start your tour with visit the National Mosque, which is the most distinguished mosque in KL. Another must see is the Tugu Negara or War Memorial where we honor those who perished in the war. Visit the Thean Hou Temple situated in Robson Heights, which is the home to patron Goddess Thean Hou of the Hainanese community. Proceed to Petronas Twin tower skybridge tour. Take in panoramic views of the city from the Skybridge and Observation Deck standing at an incredible height of 451.9 meters. After lunch, visit the Malaysian Batik Cottage whereby you will be shown a batik-painting method called ‘canting’, where motifs of plants and flowers are hand-drawn onto a piece of plain white silk or cotton using a canting pen filled with candle wax. Continue to the Batu Caves, which has 272 steps to reach the shrine of the Hindu deity Lord Subramaniam set within an outcrop of lime stone caves. This tour is inclusive of a short stop at the Royal Selangor Pewter factory. Transfer back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (BL)

Day 3Malaysia: Kuala Trembling / Taman Negara

After breakfast, leave Kuala Lumpur towards the Kuala Tembeling by jetty: the jetty takes approximately three hours. Upon arrival in Kuala Tembeling, continue via long boat ride to Taman Negara. The slow boat ride itself is one to enjoy – the wonders of nature will begin to unfold; the lush greens showing, exotic fish and even the occasional monitor lizards swimming up and down beckon. Arrival to the resort. Enjoy time of leisure. In the evening, enjoy a walk through the jungle. Overnight at your resort. (BD)

Day 4Malaysia: Taman Negara

After breakfast, enjoy trekking through the canopy walk and Teresek Hill, where picturesque trails, beautiful skies and a symphony of sounds greet you. In the afternoon, continue to Lata Berkoh, which you will be brought to via boat. Time to enjoy by either taking a dip in the clear water or relax by the riverbank. Overnight at your resort. (BLD)

Day 5Malaysia: Kuala Tahan / Cameron Highlands

After breakfast, begin with a boat crossing to Kuala Tahan. Upon arrival, drive overland to Cameron Highlands. The journey will takes approximately 5 hours. Stop for a local lunch. Upon arrival, enjoy time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel. (BL)

Day 6Malaysia: Cameron Highlands / Penang

After breakfast, drive into the middle of tea plantation in Cameron Highlands where normal tourist will never reach where you will enjoy a tea for two. Sipping your tea and enjoying your picnic set while looking at hundreds of acres of the Malaysian Giant Green Carpet in full privacy with light mist and cool breeze blowing at you. Also enjoy visits to the Strawberry farm and Flower & Fruit market. Return to your hotel for your journey to Penang island. Journey is approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival at Georgetown – colorful, multicultural capital of the Malaysian island of Penang, enjoy time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 7Malaysia: Penang

Today, enjoy sightseeing of Penang. Discover the different kinds of architectural styles which characterize Penang Buddhist temples. Start visiting the Wat Chayamangkalaram, a temple in Thai style housing a 33-m long reclining Buddha draped in a gold-leaf saffron robe. Cross the street and enter the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple, the very first built in Penang in 1805. Stop for a local lunch and then proceed to the impressive Kek Lok Si, the largest Buddhist temple in South-East Asia. Return to your hotel. (BL)

Day 8Malaysia: Penang / Ipoh / Kuala Lumpur

Morning hotel check-out. Begin your return drive to Kuala Lumpur. Before continuing your journey, stop at Sam Poh Thong Temple, which is said to be the biggest cave temple in the country. According to legend, the cave was discovered in 1890 by a monk from China who was passing through Ipoh. It also has a beautiful Japanese pond full of Japanese carps and tortoises, which are symbols of longevity. Stop in Ipoh city for lunch in a local restaurant before continuing the journey back to Kuala Lumpur. Arrive in Kuala Lumpur and enjoy some time at leisure. Overnight at your hotel. (BL)

Day 9Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur / En Route

Say goodbye to Malaysia and transfer to the airport for your return/onward flight.
