Tour Details

Once in Quito, be taken to a city tour to learn about the historic importance of this city and tour around the most popular sites of visit.

Then, continue in a cultural visit to Otavalo, which is the biggest indigenous market in the continent to purchase traditional arts and crafts. Visit Peguche known for its weavers and continue to Cotachachi a town famous for its leather manufacturing.

Then, arrive to the Karanki Magdalena Community to stay overnight and to learn more about the authentic living of the Andes.

Then, flight off to the Galapagos Islands to enjoy and luxury cruise around the unique islands in the middle of the Pacific.

Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Ecuador: Quito

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative, assisted through formalities and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2Quito

Colonial City Tour & Middle of the World: bustling streets and squares of the largest historical old town in the Americas, a multi-ethnic, artistic and cultural heritage destination. Visit the “Middle of the world” situated at 0º0’0” latitude. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 3Quito / Otavalo Cotacachi / Magdalena Karanki Community

Visit the well-known indigenous market in Otavalo for an arts and crafts shopping adventure.
Visit Peguche known for its weavers, visit a wind instruments workshop, Cotacachi known for the manufacture of leather goods. Arrive to Magdalena Community overight at one of the community houses. Overnight in a community house. (BD)

Day 4Magdalena Karanki Community / Salinas

Magdalena Community discover this hidden mountain niche through a series of activities; horseback riding, mountain biking or hiking. Then drive to Ibarra and catch the “Liberty Train,” landscapes provide a magical setting as you pass through mysterious tunnels, cross bridges spanning canyons and gullies, and admire a unique biodiversity.
Then arrive in the Afro-Ecuadorian community of Salinas, well known for its agricultural activities.
Return back to Quito and overnight at your hotel. (BL)

Day 5Flight to Galapagos: M/Y Coral I & II or M/V Galapagos Legend

Domestic flight to Galapagos. Embark on a 3-night top quality cruise. Only a special few have the chance to travel through this paradise, sailing on a charming ship, with nautical interior decoration of wood and brass, featuring ample outer decks, sea-view cabins and suites, jacuzzi, pool, bars and more. See prehistoric iguanas, giant tortoises, exotic birds, plants, beautiful landscapes of volcanoes, lava cones and magma flows.
