Day 1 Tuesday En Route

Flight from Toronto to Cairo.

Day 2 WednesdayCairo

Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be met by our representative, assisted through formalities and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3 ThursdayCairo

Visit Saqqara where the famous Unas Pyramid is located, King Zoser Step Pyramid, Mastaba Tomb of TI. In the afternoon, you will visit the great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, a colossal lion with a pharaoh’s head. Overnight at hotel. (B)

Day 4 FridayCairo

Enjoy a day of leisure in Cairo. Optional tours available. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 5 SaturdayCairo / Luxor / Nile Cruise

Transfer to Cairo airport for a flight to Luxor. The town of Luxor is located in Upper Egypt and lies on the right bank of the Nile. Upon arrival in Luxor, transfer to your Nile cruise for embarkation.
In the afternoon, visit the great Luxor Temple and the magnificent Karnak Temple of Amun with its famous Hypostyle Hall, the Statue of Ramses II, the Obelisk of Queen Hatsheput. Even in the time of the Pharaohs, this great temple was regarded as the finest creation of an abounding in architectural accomplishments. Overnight in Luxor aboard your cruise. (BLD)

Day 6 SundayNile Cruise: Luxor

After breakfast, begin sightseeing in Luxor including the West Bank, where some of the richest treasures in the world are located such as the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun in the Valley of the Kings. Visit some of these tombs. Continue to visit Hatsheput’s Temple. The temple was built at the beginning of the New Kingdom, in the reign of Queen Hatshepsut. Also see the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight in Luxor aboard your cruise. (BLD)

Day 7 MondayNile Cruise: Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan

Visit the Horus Temple of Edfu, one of the three beautiful temples of the Ptolemaic Period and almost perfectly preserved. Sail to Kom Ombo. The two main gods of Kom Ombo were the crocodile-headed Sobek and the falcon-headed Haroeris. The complex itself was built in a unified plan accommodating two temples in a single building: the right side belonging to Sobek and the left to Haroeris. Visit this site offering beautiful murals and reliefs. Sail to Aswan and overnight on your cruise. (BLD)

Day 8 TuesdayNile Cruise: Aswan

In Aswan, the Nile parts into many arms divided by immense granite rocks and islands, in particular the island of Elephantine. There is only a small area of fertile land producing what are considered the finest dates in all of Egypt.
In the morning, you will visit the High Dam and the Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis, among other deities. In the afternoon, you will sail on an Egyptian felucca to view the Elephantine Island, the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan aboard your Nile cruise. (BLD)

Day 9 WednesdayNile Cruise / Aswan / Cairo

Disembark from the cruise in the morning, and enjoy some time of leisure in Aswan. Optional tours to Abu Simbel available. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel. (B)

Enjoy a day of leisure in Cairo. Optional tours available. Overnight at your hotel. (B)

Day 11 FridayCairo / En Route

Barcelo Cairo Pyramids (or similar)

The Barceló Cairo Pyramids**** hotel is situated in the legendary city of Cairo, only 4 km from the mythical Giza Plateau; declared a World Heritage Site and home to the famous pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure.

A modern, comfortable hotel with 236 spacious rooms and a fantastic heated outdoor swimming pool, situated in Sharia Al Haram, one of the most famous avenues in Egypt, also known as pyramid street. All the rooms have air conditioning and replicas of modern art, and some enjoy impressive views of the Giza pyramid complex.

The hotel has 3 restaurants and 3 bars, where you can enjoy various gastronomic options, whether from the à la carte menu, buffet, or cocktails, etc. The perfect place to sample the best local and international cuisine.

Relaxing and enjoying the sunset while admiring the wonderful views of the pyramids from the panoramic terrace on the 12th floor of the hotel is an unbeatable experience.


MS Renaissance (or similar)
This Deluxe cruise ship, built in 2000, was completely renovated in August 2018. The M/S Renaissance is 73 m long and 13.5 m wide. It has 5 decks, 75 cabins and 1 Suite. The common areas are large and modern in style. We appreciate the great clarity of the reception. The maximum capacity is 145 passengers.
The cuisine, international and oriental, is varied and served as a buffet. We appreciate the large choice of salads and hot dishes. The service is particularly careful. Formal attire required in the restaurant room. Tea time every day at 5 p.m.
The upper deck occupies the entire length of the boat. It is very pleasant and well appointed. The pool is quite deep and large. There is also a children’s paddling pool and a small shower. The floor covering is new. Excellent facilities and bar open very late at night. Deckchairs. The Renaissance also offers a massage area and a gym.
