In Cambodia the power plugs and sockets are of type A, C and G. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Converters can be purchased at your local hardware or appliance store.

Q2Do I need a visitor's visa for Cambodia?

Cambodian tourist visas are required for citizens of Canada. Travellers must pay a fee in cash of US$30 for tourist visas and provide two passport-sized photos. The photos can be purchased at the airport for US$3 each. Canadian passports must be valid for 6 months from their date of return. You may contact the Cambodian Embassy or Consulate if you have any questions or concerns regarding visa requirements.

Q3When is the best time to visit Cambodia?

The best time to visit Cambodia is between November and April, during the dry season. Clear blue skies make it a great time to enjoy the country. Temperatures stay at a warm 20°C year-round. July to September are the wettest months.

Q4Can I drink tap water and other drinks? And what kind of food should I avoid?

It is recommended that you solely drink bottled or boiled water, beverages from cans or sealed bottles. You should avoid fruits that you cannot peel yourself, ice in beverages, and undercooked food. It is also not recommended that you eat food from food stalls located in the streets. Also, avoid unpasteurized dairy products.
