We arrange tours to Egypt from Canada and the USA. Whether it’s the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, Luxor, the Karnak Temples or the treasures of Tut Ankh Amon at the Egyptian Museum, our Egypt tours are structured to include all points of interest.

Your trip to Egypt won’t be complete without a sail on the Nile aboard your Nile cruise to visit the mysteries of the Pharaohs. Some of the other highlights in our Egypt tours included are Old Cairo, Memphis and Sakkara. From Cairo, travel north to the city of Alexandria, known as the pearl of the Mediterranean. You can take the sleeper train or fly to Aswan where we offer sightseeing by an Egyptian felucca to view The Elephantine Island, the Botanical Garden on Kitchener Island, and a view of the Magnificent Aga Khan Mausoleum on our Egypt tours.

One of the highlights on your tour to Egypt is the river Nile — an incredible 6,695 km gift of life for Egypt and three other countries, making it the longest river in the world.

The Nile enters Egypt south through a narrow canyon that travels through sandstone and granite cliffs. The northward flowing direction of the river has thus earned Egypt’s southern border the name “Upper Egypt.” Within this stretch of the Nile is the world’s most concentration of temples, tombs and palaces constructed over the span of 4,000 years.  This includes the temples of Abydos, Dendara, Karnak, Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae and Abu Simbel, each conceived for their respective deities.

If your choice is an itinerary with a Nile Cruise, you will make stops at Sobek Temple in Kom Ombo, Horus Temple in Edfu and continue to Luxor where you can visit the Valley of the Kings, the location where the kings and nobles including King Tut Ankh Amon were buried. You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Luxor and Karnak Temples on your Egypt tour. From Luxor, you can travel to spend a few days at El Gouna, Hurghada, or Sharm El Sheikh which are all magnificent resorts on the Red Sea. Diving, snorkeling or just relaxing on the beach are the activities of these side trips on our tours to Egypt.

We take pride in attending to the discriminating needs of our visitors by selecting hotels and cruise boats that meet international standards. Our programs offer the most comprehensive, comfortable Egypt tours available today. Book your Egypt trip today!

Here are some frequently asked questions on travel to Egypt

Egypt FAQ

Q1Can I charge my cell phone or laptop in an Egyptian standard outlet?

The electric current is 220 Volt 50Hz. European style two pin plugs are standard. Converters can be purchased at your local hardware or appliance store.

Q2One of our hotels is based on half board. What does this mean?

Half board simply means two meals will be provided. These meals are usually breakfast and dinner, unless otherwise specified.

Q3Is it appropriate to tip in Egypt? If so, how much?

Yes, tipping is appreciated in Egypt. Two weeks prior to your departure, we will provide you with a comprehensive tipping guide.

Q4I really like all of your tours but I have other ideas in mind. Can you custom make my dream tour?

Yes, we would be delighted to assist you in realizing your dream tour. Please send us a message in our contact section of this website with your request, or you may prefer to call us directly at (416) 751-7190.

Q5What kind of food should I avoid when in Egypt?

You should avoid fruits that you cannot peel yourself, ice in beverages, and undercooked food. It is also not recommended that you eat food from food stalls located in the streets.
Please do not drink tap water. Bottled mineral water should be your only source of water.
Always remember: boil it, peel it, cook it, or leave it.

Q6What should I wear for dinner on the Nile cruise? Is formal attire required?

The dress code for dinner on the cruise is smart casual (suit jackets, ties, or long dresses are not needed).

Q7What kind of clothing should I take?

We suggest you bring cotton breathable clothing. Also, taking sweaters and a jacket can keep you warm when the desert drops to low temperatures at night. Please take comfortable soft walking shoes that have been worn before. Conservative clothing should be worn when visiting Mosques and Churches in Old Cairo.
Please be advised that Egyptian men do not wear shorts in Egypt as it is commonly considered as children’s attire.
Kindly remember that Egypt is a conservative country and we ask that you dress accordingly.

Q8Can I exchange my Canadian money in Egypt? Or do I have to do that prior to my departure?

There will be a few banks open at the terminal where you can exchange your foreign currency upon your arrival. You may take Canadian dollars with you to change into Egyptian Pounds. We also recommend that you bring US Dollars with you on hand for optional excursions, tips, and emergencies.
ATM machines may not be readily available and you may incur special service fee charges. Some machines may only be in Arabic.

Q9Do we need any vaccinations for Egypt?

Specific vaccinations are not required for entry into Egypt. However, it is recommended that all of your vaccinations are up-to-date one month prior to your departure. For further information, please consult with your family doctor or a travel clinic.
You may like to bring travellers diarrhea medication under your doctors advisement.

Q10When we visit Egypt, do we need to get a visa? If so, where and for how much?

Visas are required for all passengers traveling to Egypt. Canadian passport holders may purchase them at the Egyptian airport upon their arrival for approximately 25.00 USD cash per person.
You may contact the Egyptian Embassy or Egyptian Consulate if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
